We all know about those famous Instagram brands. The ones that seem to purely do influencer marketing, and that you can’t seem to escape because practically everyone you follow is posting about them or talking about them on YouTube.
Women’s Best was one of those brands for me. As you could imagine, I follow a lot of fitness influencers. Almost all of the women talk about this brand, posting pictures of the shakers and promoting the BCAAs.
I have looked into them before, and their products seemed good. I’m just really good at talking myself out of purchasing things. The influencers finally got to me, though.
I was in the market for a new protein powder, and figured I’d try Women’s Best. They had such a wide variety of flavors, and since I was feeling adventurous, I decided to try the cookies & cream flavor.
What I Loved
The two things I absolutely loved about the Women’s Best All-in-One Whey Protein were the amount of protein per scoop and the texture. You get a 24 grams of protein per scoop. That’s fantastic. There are so many protein powders on the market that give you half of that. Then you have to use two scoops in one shake, which means that you go through it faster.
Not with the Women’s Best, though, which is awesome.
The next best thing about it was the texture. The protein powder was so smooth. I think this is one of those things that companies tend to not get right. I have even paid a good chunk of money for brands that are supposed to be premium, and their protein is still grainy.
This was one of the reasons I was actually nervous to try Women’s Best, but I was not disappointed. When it comes to texture, this is one the best protein powders I’ve had.
What I Disliked
Unfortunately, one of my main dislikes is the flavor itself. I typically go for vanilla, maybe a chocolate, so I knew I was going out on a limb here. The cookies & cream flavor just doesn’t taste like cookies & cream. Frankly, my expectations weren’t that high after looking at the package. The image on the bottle is of chocolate chip cookies. Maybe I’m being nitpicky, but cookies & cream is made from Oreos. (Wrong cookie, bro.)
This next point might not bother some, but for me it was a detracting factor. The product shipped from Germany to Switzerland and finally to little ole Los Angeles. I had no idea Women’s Best was a German brand before this Even then, however, there are other companies who have facilities in countries that they are not originally from.
I simply can’t justify the shipping distance when I can buy protein powder at my local supplement shop or from a company that dispatches from within the United States. Ecologically, buying from Women’s Best again doesn’t seem sustainable.\
Would I Repurchase
Not anytime soon. I would to love try more flavors and even their no flavor protein powder, which would be great for smoothies. However, I don’t think I’d purchase from them again unless they get dispatchers in the U.S.
Have you tried Women’s Best? What did you try, and what did you think?
Happy lifting,

They’re probably not legally allowed to put Oreos on the packaging without a license agreement. Still weird to use chocolate chip cookies though.

That’s true. There are probably some trademarks laws prohibiting that. The more important thing would have been getting the flavor right. 🤷🏽♂️
