30 Goals Before 30

30 Goals Before 30! 30 is actually creeping up on me, but there is still so much that I would like to achieve. Thank you to Samantha Maria and Lucy Moon for inspiring me to do this video. It really made me think and forced me to write down many of the things I would like to achieve in a relatively reasonable amount of time.

Happy goal setting,

  1. Wow! You have such specific goals – that’s great though! 🙂

I have only set up a couple of goals in terms of career, private life and travelling. I’ve reached some of them but not all. 😛

Also, I see we are the same age haha.

Also: you are a black belt in japanese jiu jitsu?!! Wow! And is blue belt the highest belt in bjj? And is it a big difference between brazilian and japanese jiu jitsu?

    1. There is so much I want to do with my life. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do all of it, but I want to try!

The belt levels to bjj go like this: white, blue, purple, brown, black, red (basically a bjj god). It takes, on average, 10 years to become a black belt, so I’m still in the early stages.

I am a black belt in Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Both are a lot of fun, but the Japanese style is standing, while bjj is more grappling. Japanese Jiu Jitsu also incorporates weapons and body throws. 🙂

    2. Well that’s good cause there is so much to do, see and learn in life! 🙂

Aha! I see – interesting! Well as my wife says (and it makes sense): if it takes a long time to advance in belt levels it shows the school is serious and you are actually learning useful things there… And I’m sure you’ll reach that belt!

I see! Thanks for the explanation! Weapons? And as a black belt in jiu jitsu it sounds like you can kick some major butt haha. Awesome! 😀
