FabFitFun Winter Box Review

20171212_094653I am a happy subscriber to the FabFitFun seasonal boxes. A couple of months ago, I subscribed and received the Editor’s Box, which I also reviewed. I liked the first box so much that I decided to stick around for the Winter Box. This time, however, I am doing the review as part of Blogmas. Let’s get into it.

8 OTHER REASONS Nine Lives Choker20171213_161618

This necklace is described as a micro ball chain style. It comes with multiple chains, giving it the layered look, and is 18 in length. I’m sure this necklace would pair nicely with a V-neck top. I received the silver-plated necklace. It was also coated with rhodium so that it does not tarnish. The necklace also comes in a rose gold, which would have been perfect for my style. The retail price is $58.

Homemade by Ayesha Curry Mug

This might just be my favorite item to come in the FabFitFun Winter Box. If there is one thing I collect, it is mugs. There is just something about a cute mug that makes me happy, and this one has a smiley face! It reads, 20171213_161815“I’d rather be in bed.” Truer words have never been spoken…or written. As it is finals season, this is exactly how I feel in the morning. Apparently, different styles of mugs may come in the Winter Box. I’m happy I got this one, though. These mugs retail for $18.

AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream With Dead Sea Water

I was really excited about this guy. I have naturally dry skin, so a good lotion, or in this case hand creme, is always appreciated. Plus, anything Dead Sea is supposed to be amazing, right? One of the most impressive things about this item was the size. What hand lotion comes in this size! THAT is awesome. I did try it, and I must say that I was not impressed with the product itself. The lotion didn’t feel as hydrating as Shea Moisture, which is a brand I use often. Additionally, it has a subtle scent that will most likely irritate me and cause a headache. This item will probably be gifted. It retails for $33.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment

Oh my goodness! I would never buy this on my own. But before we get to the price, lets talk about the product. I’ve used this one as well, and I enjoyed it. It had a mildly seasonal/festive scent, and it left my skin feeling smooth. The treatment is quick; you only leave the mask on for 2 minutes. The only downside is that the product is an unfortunate green color. If this product was more in my price range, I’d repurchase. It retails for $75.

Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Masks – 8 Pack

1) I don’t have wrinkles yet. 2) The best way to beat under eye bags is to get a good night’s sleep. If you don’t manage to do that, I guess this is your solution. All in all, I don’t personally have a need for these, but I could see how someone would appreciate this. Finals are afoot, so I may end up needing to give these a try. This pack retails for $16.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray20171212_094218

This is another one that I don’t think I need. In fact, I’ve been a little skeptical about this kind of product. I have heard others rave about these kinds of things, so I am open to giving it try. However, I have no issues falling asleep, so I might be a bad test subject. Nonetheless, I will give it go. This one comes with mix of lavender, vetiver, and chamomile. Luckily for me, it only smells like lavender, which is one of the very few scents that doesn’t give me a headache. This retails for $29.

BB Dakota Poncho

This one was cute!  Definitely cozy, but not really my style. I’ll most likely be wearing this one mainly in doors as a part of my comfies. (It’s also unseasonably BB ponchowarm in Los Angeles #climatechange.) I received the black/grey poncho. It also comes in two other color patterns. The cool thing about this product is that it’s reversible! It does retail for $70. As someone of Mexican descent, it definitely feels odd to pay that much for a glorified zarape. Just sayin’. I like it, though!

Pointe Studio Aloe Infused Cozy Sock

These socks are infused with aloe. I don’t really get how that works, but it’s awesome. Look at how cozy. I want to wear them and never take them off. They are ridiculously soft (maybe that’s where the aloe comes in?). These socks make me want to snuggle up, sip some hot chocolate, and have a Harry Potter marathon. These retail for $19, and they’re worth it.

DOUCCE Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette

I have never heard of this brand, but I’m a lifestyle and fitness blogger (and cheap), so I guess that makes sense. Nonetheless, this palette is beautiful, and the packaging… amazing. Simple. Sleek. Elegant. The colors are fantastic and easy to use even if you aren’t a beauty guru. I am looking forward to playing with this palette. It retails for $70.

And that is the FabFitFun Winter Box. All of these products together would cost $388, but with the subscription, I only paid $50. This season’s box was totally worth it. Given the price of some these items, I would never have tried them without the subscription.  This was a nice early Christmas gift to myself.

Happy holidays,
